Opus Montreal is in transformation. 136 luxurious guestrooms are being updated to bring a sense of freshness and light to the existing sleek minimalism. Opus Vancouver’s designer Robert Bailey is infusing colour, accent pieces and art work throughout the hotel - a reflection of the city's multicultural joie de vivre spirit.
On September 27, Opus Montreal’s contemporary and sophisticated resto-lounge Suco opened to the public. The space’s design includes dramatic glowing light-strip paneling, a stylish mezzanine, steel sculptures by artist Scott Eunson and a 30 foot Cardosa marble bar. Featuring innovative cocktails, a globally-inspired tapas menu and the city’s hottest DJ’s, Suco will have the same see and be seen appeal as its Vancouver counterpart, Opus Bar.
Celebrating its opening season, Opus Montreal is offering an introductory online offer of 10% off guestrooms, as well as complimentary valet parking. Frequent business travelers are encouraged to ask about preferred corporate rates for their company. A bientot!

Daniel Edward Craig, Vice President of Opus Hotels, released his debut novel this month. In Murder at the Universe, readers are introduced to New York’s fictional Universe Hotel, the opulent setting for the mysterious death of the hotel’s owner. Publishers Weekly calls the novel "a sparkling debut" and "an erudite whodunit." “I have drawn inspiration from many of the weird and wonderful people I have met in my career and the unique and often bizarre situations I have encountered,” says Craig. “But rest assured, this book is pure fiction.” [Staff at Opus Vancouver thinks he may protest too loudly]. The novel is available in all Opus guestrooms and can be signed by the General Manager-turned-Author upon request. To satiate your curiosity of Opus antics, don’t forget to read the latest ‘General Manager’s Blog’. |
