Also called the Jazz Fest, it is the largest jazz festival in the world. It is held annually in Montreal and gathers artists from around the world. Shows are held in a wide variety of venues, from relatively small jazz clubs to the large halls of Place des Arts.

Just for Laughs Festival | July 2 – 25 2010
The world's largest and most renowned comedy festival brings together artists from all corners of the planet to laugh and celebrate Montreal's joie de vivre. It’s a wonderful time to enjoy over 2,000 performances for the entire family including 1,300 free, outdoor shows in Montreal's splendid Quartier Latin. The Festival is 11 days of performances, street entertainers, urban street theatre, stand-up comedy and laughter.

Divers Cité | July 24 – August 1 2010
One of Canada's largest and most jubilant gay celebrations is Montreal’s Divers/Cite festival. Montreal, of course, is one of North America's friendliest, most stylish, and most enthusiastic cities when it comes to gay culture - this is the case year-round, even during the city's chilly winters. But during Divers/Cite, the entire city seems to glow in the colors of the rainbow!
