Unique Meeting Breaks Give Meeting Participants Opportunity to Relax
and Focus
(VANCOUVER, Canada) - Coffee breaks? A thing of the past! Jump into the new
millennium with Opus Hotel, which now offers meeting participants three healthful
alternatives to the coffee break: the Matcha Tea Break, the Oxygen Break and the
Guided Breathing Break, all designed to increase focus and productivity while
simultaneously promoting relaxation.
Matcha tea, with over 70 times the antioxidants of orange juice, 9 times the beta
carotene of spinach, and numerous other vitamins and minerals, is one of the world's
most healthful drinks. Buddhist monks credit Matcha tea with their ability to focus
for long periods of time; similarly, meeting participants who indulge in the Matcha
Tea Break will enjoy an energy boost akin to that of coffee - but without the jitters.
The Tea Break includes both tea service and in-house-made energy bars, and costs $16.95
per person.
Meeting participants may also treat themselves to the Oxygen Break, which includes bottled water,
fresh fruit and the use of a hand-held OXIA oxygen canister. OXIA canisters are comprised of 90%
pure oxygen and 10% nitrogen, and provide for 2-3 minutes of continuous airflow. Breathing pure
oxygen is said to increase energy levels and cognitive performance, and is reputably even a powerful
tool for combating jetlag. The Oxygen Break offer is priced at $25.95 per person.
Finally, the Guided Breathing Break promises to relax the body and mind while improving clarity.
Meeting-goers will perform a series of short breathing and visualization exercises under the
guidance of a wellness trainer, followed by a gentle stretching session that places emphasis on
high stress areas such as the neck, shoulders and upper back. The package offer costs $29.95 per
person, and includes bottled water, fresh fruit and herbal tea.
"These unique meeting breaks are another example of Opus Hotel's commitment to
keep on top of trends and to provide creative alternatives to the traditional hotel experience," says
Daniel Craig. General Manager. "Matcha Tea and Oxia are already a hit with Opus Hotel's individual
travelers; now groups will be able to indulge in these healthful alternatives too."
