It was a star-studded Juno’s weekend at Yaletown’s Opus Hotel
On Friday March 27th Yaletown’s chic boutique Opus Hotel kicked off the Juno weekend in style with a sizzling VIP list party in Opus Bar. Locally lauded DJ Leanne took turns spinning tunes with celebrated Canadian rapper K-os, while pumped-up party goers danced the night away.
On Saturday March 28th, Canadian talent flocked to the popular Yaletown hot spot to attend a private event hosted by K-os in Elixir’s Velvet Room. Celebrity guests spotted slipping in include 2008 Juno award winner, Feist; 2009 Juno Best New Artist, Lights; Canadian rock band Protest the Heroes; Canadian TV personality Monica Deol; and popular Producer/Songwriter RedOne.
Sunday’ grand finale (March 29th) saw Universal Music host an exclusive star-studded Juno after party at the Opus Hotel. One of the most sought after invitations of the weekend saw the who’s who of Canada’s music industry spilling in to the restaurant, bar, and upstairs private rooms. Privileged guests sipped on Sky Vodka martinis and noshed on Opus O-bites while celebrating Canada’s diverse musical talent. VIP Velvet Room guests included 18-time Juno winner and home based super-star Bryan Adams, who was seen sporting spiked hair and a black leather jacket along with other celebrated guests: Juno Artist of the Year Sam Roberts; Juno nominee Hedley; Juno performer Gordon Downie from the Tragically Hip; Dallas Green (City & Colour); TV personality Leah Miller; Juno nominee Nikki Yanofsky; Singer / songwriter Elise Estrada, Adam H., Executive VP RockSTAR popular Canadian rock band State of Shock, singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer Brian Howes (Hedley, Hinder, Skillet, Faber Drive and Puddle of Mudd and the oh so dreamy Robert Pattinson from the blockbuster hit Twilight.
