Opus Hotel
If the mere thought of Cananda leaves you cold, a visit
to Vancouver's Opus Hotel may brighten your perspective.
Set in the city's trendy Yaletown district, the 7-story
structure has 97 rooms and suites, packaged in décor
ranging from sleek and minimal to cozy and eclectic,
and highlights include private wraparound terraces,
walls of floor-to-ceiling glass, and fireplaces. The
Opus Bar features tapas, a lengthy wine list, and signature
creations like a watermelon, feta, and watercress salad.
Elsewhere, the brasserie-style bar-restaurant Elixir
serves up dishes like braised monk fish with eggplant
caviar, prepared under the direction of award-winning
chef Don Letendre. And if all the eating and imbibing
leaves you exhausted, request a medicinal in-room massage.
