Some are sleek and minimalist, others bright and arty-all 96 were styled with fictitious groovy people like "Dede, the method actor from LA" in mind. There's a CD player by every bed, and a minibar stocked to your preference.

What to do: Head to the hotel's Opus Bar, where Canada's top musicians perform on Saturdays, or stop in ar Elixir Restaurant for French cuisine. Take advantage of the free car service that takes you around the area. Yaletown, which is now the most fashionable part of the ciry. Look for Hamilton Street, where you'll find Skoah spa, Tetra Nova Linen House, and boutique Babe Belangere. In Burrard Street, be pampered at luxurious Absolute Spa, where Gwyneth, Elle and Uma are regulars. Stroll around the beautiful harbour and Stanley Park, where beluga whales star at the Aquarium Marine Science Centre.
