If overindulgence in Vancouver's liberal nightlife scene leaves you jonesing for a suitably stylish place to rest your weary head, look no further. The Opus Hotel, in the city's trendy Yaletown district, borrows the boutique hotel formula of countless Ws and other designer properties yet deftly sets itself apart from those self-replicating places. For starters, the Opus offers guests a choice of five distinct room décors, ranging from "eclectic modern" (funky beach bungalow) to "sleek minimalist" (urban loft). It houses the French brasserie Elixir in the lobby, as well as a watering hole (the imaginatively named Opus Bar) featuring such fancy cocktails as lavender-infused martinis and authentic whiskey sours made with fresh egg whites.
